Garbage disposal

There are four garbage rooms, one near each lift well on the ground floor of the east and west towers, and one on each side of car park 1 for the garden apartments.

There is a button to enter the garbage area and you will also need your swipe tag to exit from these areas. Do not use these exits for access to the street.

To maintain cleanliness garbage must be securely wrapped and residents are asked to recycle all paper, glass, plastic and aluminium and steel in the relevant bins situated in the garbage rooms. Please read the instructions in the garbage rooms re disposal of bottles etc.

When using the chutes servicing the towers make sure the garbage is securely contained in a plastic bag, (this is a great way to reuse your plastic shopping bags). This garbage should not contain any sharp objects and should fit readily into the tray of the chute so that the chute is not blocked. When employing cleaners please make sure that they are instructed on the use of the chute and that no garbage, papers, or bottles are left on the floor near the chute or in any common areas.

The following must not be disposed of via the chute:

·         Lighted objects or cigarettes

·         Cardboard boxes including pizza cartons

·         Newspapers and magazines

·         Bottles or broken glass

·         Liquid of any description

·         Sharp objects
