Your apartment contains a reverse-cycle air conditioning system. A wall-mounted controller allows you to control the on/off function, increase/decrease the temperature, and alter the zones of you apartment where the air is to flow. The air conditioning equipment is provided from a central system, the cost of which is provided as part of your strata levies. Whilst the Body Corporate is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the chilled water supply and associated equipment, you are responsible for the cost and maintenance of the equipment in your apartment. To maximise the efficiency of your air conditioning equipment you must undertake regular maintenance and filter cleaning. The Building Manager can recommend a qualified service provider if your air conditioning is not working correctly. Operating your air conditioningAir conditioning functions best when doors and windows are closed, however it is advantageous to allow for fresh air to filter into the apartment by leaving a highlight window open. These are located above the sliding doors leading to the balcony and have been installed partly for this purpose.
There are three toggle switches on the air conditioning unit
and a thermostat control
To have the air conditioning completely off the second switch should be in the “Auto” position and the third switch in the “Off” position. Please be aware of a situation which may arise in the use of your air conditioning unit. The centre switch on the Thermostat Unit selects the Fan operation, either Continuous or Automatic. Unlike the other two switches on the Thermostat, the fan switch has no centre position. Please ensure the centre switch is always either in the Continuous or Automatic position. Failure to do so may lead, should you select HEAT on the bottom switch, to overheating of the Air Conditioning Unit. |
